House Republicans Inspired by the Taliban Insurgency
Congressman Pete Sessions of Texas said yesterday that the Taliban can give Republicans a model of how to battle Democrats over the stimulus package. No doubt, brilliant words from a brilliant man. Comparing your struggle to that of an enemy we are currently at war with is always sound political philosophy. Let us hope that the Democrats are equally determined and can respond with their own insurgency, modeled after the Viet Cong. I, for one, am going to focus on seizing the rest of today, like the British seized Manhattan in November, 1776.
